Porous Semiconductors - Science and Technology (PSST) and related Conferences

Porous Semiconductors - Science and Technology

The series of PSST Conferences organized and held in Spain since 1998 is a unique and singular international scientific experience  entirely dedicated to porous semiconductors and promotion of their use  in electronics, sensing, chemical and photochemical applications as well  as in the life sciences.

  • The  overall theme, style and atmosphere of the Conference will adhere to  those of preceding PSST Meetings held in: Mallorca (1998), Madrid (2000),  Tenerife (2002), Cullera (2004), Sitges (2006), Sa Coma (2008),  Valencia (2010) and Malaga (2012).
The Conference will continue  to serve to join active researchers in physics and chemistry of  semiconductors, optics, electrochemistry, analytical instrumentation,  biochemistry, medicine and other related fields. Both established  experts and representatives of fields with emerging activities are  welcome to come and create better coordination of their efforts and  establish new cooperation links.
The next PSST 2014 Conference covers all aspects related to manufacturing, characterization, applications and technology of porous semiconductors.

Particular areas of interest include:

  • Electrochemical and metal-assisted chemical etching
  • Pore filling
  • Novel fabrication techniques
  • Comparative studies with mesoporous ceramics and mesoporous metals
  • Mesopore chemistries and confinement effects
  • Microsystems engineering
  • Electronic applications
  • Sensors
  • Luminescence and microphotonics
  • Energy conversion
  • Medical diagnostics, imaging and therapy
  • Novel structures and emerging applications
An introductory Short Course will be organized during the Conference. It will be oriented to young researchers and those who are new in the field.
